Our History
The SITE Contracting team, based in Central Otago, are experts in outdoor construction solutions for residential and commercial projects. Not only that, we love what we do.
With over 40 years’ construction and management experience between us, we (Michael, Steve, and Matt) joined forces to launch SITE Contracting in 2022.
We are a group of 3 lads who are hard working and determined to deliver perfect results every time, we back our high standard of work and expect this throughout our company. As a trio, we band together with unique, specialist expertise across different areas of outdoor construction. We saw an opportunity to bring together our different skill sets and create a centralised offering that takes care of ‘everything outside the house’.
From concrete driveways, to footpaths, patios and steps, to decking, balustrades, retaining walls, and landscaping, our SITE team can look after all your concrete, fencing, and landscaping needs.

Meet the Directors
Michael Eade
Concrete Director
With over 10 years’ experience in concrete placing and finishing, Michael has been involved in creating thousands of concrete driveways. This includes applying his resourcefulness and ‘can do’ attitude to overcome the challenges and hurdles involved in dealing with earthquake-damaged driveways for six years.
Mike’s management experience includes foreman and general site manager roles and the project management of construction crews. Most recently, Mike relocated to Central Otago where he has spent four years as a foreman running a team pouring concrete driveways and patios with Mane Contracting.
He knows everything there is to know about concrete and is passionate about perfecting every job.
Steve Hancox
Managing Director
Steve has a 16-year background in contracting and construction management. His most recent role was Manager of Mane Contracting Central. Prior to this, he had experience in civil drain laying in central Christchurch following the earthquakes.
With 10 years’ management experience, Steve has been involved in overseeing large-scale projects including the 100 Villa development, Golden View Lifestyle Village, Station View, Queenstown’s 72 Apartments (this is adjacent to the golden view lifestyle village hospital.)
At SITE Contracting, Steve is the guy pulling all the projects together and making sure everything runs seamlessly.
Matthew Ludemann
Fencing Director
With over 18 years’ experience in the construction industry, Matt ran his own successful company, Fence It, before launching SITE with Steve and Michael.
A passionate perfectionist, he has been involved with numerous projects throughout Cromwell from Space X and school fencing to boundary fencing and security fencing solutions.
Born and bred in Cromwell, Matt’s specialty is quality fencing. He’s known in the industry for his good communication skills, careful and precise work, as well as his ability to solve any problem efficiently and with a smile.
